"Homecoming"
HOMECOMING :: Is a day or weekend each year when former students of a particular school, college, or university go back to it to meet each other again and go to dances and sports matches.

*Dancing*

*In Korea*
In Korea we don't have homecoming ,but we have similar kind, one is like homecoming but usually not teenager do, adult have they talk each other, eat dinner and drink alcohol.
And the other one is we have school festival we prepare about 1months ago and do 2days , that day we wear free dress or class clothes and each class play games and if win we have prize and each class sell the food, clothes and books and make a booth and they have games and they earn the money after that at night
we have concert each class show the dance, sing, play-acting, and comedy and sometimes some famous school band or singer also came and singing for them.
Homecoming Week
No matter what school you go to, Homecoming week is one of the biggest weeks of the school year. And no matter what school you go to they all run the same way. Same process, same happenings, and same concept. Here at St. Joseph High School, we make an effort to make our Homecoming week the most competitive and exciting as possible. Every year we always have a rivalry team from a different school that we are determined to beat. Because we don't have a football team, our basketball team takes over and defends our Homecoming title. Everyone at St. Joseph knows to support our boys and we do it well.
On Monday, we kick it off with a big Mass up in the gym and wear our gold and red school uniforms. On Tuesday, the theme this year is Mathlete. You can either choose to dress up as an athlete, nerd, or a combination of both. Wednesday is always Wacky Wednesday. You get to mix and match colors, clothes, accessories, shoes.. anything you'd like just as long as it's wacky. THURSDAY is always the biggest day because it's everyones favorite... PAJAMA DAY!!! The students and faculty are allowed to wear their pajamas or sleepwear to school. Of course it must be at modest length but we pretty much dress in sweats and a Tee. Now when it comes to Friday... it's the BIG DAY! Game day and pep rally day. Classes are to wear their t-shirts they designed promoting their class slogan and color with Jeans.
Cardinal Cafe is also another big Homecoming event. Cardinal Cafe is a huge fundraiser event particularly for the junior class to help them pay for prom that they're in charge of. They sell pizza, root beer floats, coke floats, banana splits, and soft drinks. It happens during the evening and all are invited. Students, their families, faculty, and staff. It's always a big bang every year since everyone makes it successful by supporting.
DON'T FORGET TO GRAB A SIGN AND JOIN THE CARDINAL NATION ON SATURDAY NIGHT AT 7PM TO ROOT ON OUR BOYS IN THEIR HOMECOMING GAME AGAINST HILO HIGH!
If you would like to watch the Homecoming Court present their dance to the public it starts at 6 :)

The History of Homecoming
Most of Homecomings have the same characteristics, unlike our school, homecoming is usually surrounded around a football game as the center point. The events during homecomings usually included rallies, parades, speeches and dances; the events are intended to unite alumni and students to create a stronger sense of school pride.
The Homecoming tradition was created at the University of Missouri where they celebrated the first homecoming by inviting alumni to an annual football game against the University of Kansas. The University of Missouri is proud of their long-standing homecoming tradition.
It was there in 1911 where the University of Missouri's Athletic Director Chester Brewer asked alumni of the school to help inaugurate the new location of their football field by "coming home", where the homecoming name originated, to attend the annual game against the University of KansasBrewer planned a celebration with parades, parties, a pep rally and a football game against the University of Missouri's long-time rival, the University of Kansas. More than 10,000 alumni and fans attended the event, making the University of Missouri homecoming an example for homecomings across the nation.

"Take My Hands, Close My Eyes"
As homecoming has been vast approaching our poor homecoming court was left with no dance choreographer. Feeling sorry for for the class attendants and our royal couple, i took it into my own hands. The court, our queen to be specific Malia gave the title of the song they wanted to dance to and i put a few moves together. Over the pass nights i feel a few grey hairs growing, but not just that. i been pulling hair out. lol. Unlike the pass years, the dance the court will preform will be something unique and different than what has been preformed here at the school before. All steps and moves of the dance is a movement that everyone on the court incorporated. Overall i just would like to thank the court for giving me the opportunity to teach them a wonderful dance and for coming together as one these pass days. My last words to you all is go out there and have fun.
